WAZA Spooktacular Champions

A great weekend of soccer in Monroe, MI as the U14 Girls Gold team wins the Championship of the top division in the WAZA Spooktacular.  The girls started the weekend off with a 3-0 win vs. Jr. Irish and then followed that win up with 2-1 win vs. WAZA Black.  On Sunday the girls started the morning off with 0-0 tie vs. Cleveland Inferno and advanced to the championship and a rematch against Jr. Irish.  In a very windy championship the girls took a 2-1 lead late in the 2nd half.  Thanks to some great team defense and a number of amazing saves by the goalkeeper the team held on for the victory.
